everyone loves some Pre Loved

So I have already uploaded the pictures from last Sunday's 1920's shoot with Lorna but I just thought I would share the following with you as well! The clothes from our 20's shoot were kindly offered to us by Pre Loved boutique in Truro so as a side project we went to the park and took a couple pictures for them! This is the outcome:

Little Steps & Phase Eight fashion show

This November we at Little Steps will be teaming up with Phase Eight to put on a spectacular fashion show with a difference!! The difference being that our models will involve yummy mummies AND their little ones!! The concept was my own idea and I have been working very hard on it :].
Last week I teamed up with friend, and photographer, Lottie Hinton to take some pictures of our yummy mummy Kathering Richards and her adorable Isabella! Lottie took the photos and I styled the shoot and the wardrobe and then I edited the pictures to make this poster – it isn’t finished yet but I couldn’t resist posting it early.. I hope you all like it!

Jazz dancing and Flapper girls

I always tell my mum that I was born in the wrong era; I should have been a Flappers girl, dancing on the table tops in a sequin dress, fluttering my eyelashes at guys in suits!
The old ale house in Truro became the venue for this shoot, they kindly gave us run of the whole top floor, and that is where we took this picture.
I have edited it using 'old photo' tools, sepia tones and blurry edges. I think the effect works fairly well.

Sunday girl!

Ice – cream shakes, candy pops and some raunchiness in the park! Last Sunday my model, Emma Spilsbury, took us back in time to the 50′s for some very naughty behaviour in the sunshine!  I am sure you will all agree that Emma made a fantastic pin-up girl!

Woodland Creation

***
When I was growing up, the world was full of magic. There was no question about it for me; fairies existed, princesses lived in castles and there was always a Prince to come to your rescue. I grew up, for much of my life, in the middle of the woods in a place called Castle Hornick, the name in itself sounds magical doesn't it? 6 St Silivence, Cedar wood chalet, Castle Hornick (you can still see this address scribbled in a childlike manner in all of my Beatrix Potter books!)
At Castle Hornick I would: climb the waterfalls, walk for hours, make potions out of the exotic plants and leave notes for the fairies who lived near the river; the magic took over me and it was like a realm of its own away from the rest of the world.
We moved from Castle Hornick when I was coming up 11 but, at 22, that sense of magic and adventure is still in me.
You may call me a dreamer and you would be right in doing so. I have spent the rest of my life trying to find the happier side of every cloud and climbing the ladder to my dreams. Life is here to be lived and I want to live mine.
Today I went on an adventure into the woods at Bosvigo, bringing with me an MUA, a model and my camera.
These pictures reflect my childhood. I hope you like the outcome.
